This summer a herd of elephant sculptures descended upon Sheffield for the biggest public art event the city has ever seen!
This exciting initiative was brought to you by The Children’s Hospital Charity and united businesses, communities, artists and schools, and left a lasting legacy for the city.
The elephant sculptures were uniquely created and decorated showcasing the creativity of artists. The sculptures were generously sponsored by local businesses and went on display for 10 weeks during the summer of 2016. They were joined by smaller elephant calves which were designed by local school children and teachers, which appeared in herds across the city.
My design was chosen by GRI Group and was placed in the Animal Farm in Graves Park over the summer.
The Herd went to auction in October and raised over £400,000 for The Children's Hospital Charity and provided vital funds for much needed equipment.
